The Russian painter
Ivan Shishkin
The largest exhibition of Ivan Shishkin's works from the collection of the Russian Museum in Zvenigorod

40 paintings by the great Russian landscape painter Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin (1832-1898) will be presented to visitors. The paintings are arranged in chronological order: from the first completed canvases to the majestic landscapes of the late 1890s. This approach will reveal the features of the artistic handwriting of the master and will allow you to trace his creative path. A multimedia area will complement the paintings, which will allow visitors to literally immerse themselves in the world of the great landscape painter.

The exhibition takes place in ancient Zvenigorod, famous not only for its cultural attractions, but also for its picturesque nature — it is surrounded by protected forests, oak groves, historical and cultural landscapes. These places are in many ways consonant with the images of Russian nature that Shishkin praised, and create a special atmosphere for exploring his work.

The exhibition will run from March 6 to June 29, 2025.
